About Jwalamukhi.

Jwalamukhi- the Mata of Gentle, also referred to as the Blazing Mata or ‘She of the Blazing Mouth’. The mandir is located overlooking the Dhauladhar vary and set amidst undulating hills. Based on Hindu mythology, when Lord Vishnu lower via the corpse of Mata Sati, her tongue fell off the corpse at this site. Even the Pandavas are regarded to have visited this sacred place.
The mandir consists of a copper pipe which emanates pure fuel which is lit by the mandir ’s priest to kind a perfect blue flame. The flame is worshiped because the manifestation of the mata Jwalamukhi. Some additionally imagine that Jwalamukhi represents the blazing mouth of Jalandhara, the devil who was crushed to dying by Lord Shiva. The flames are supposed to come back from his mouth. 9 flames contain been named after the goddesses - Mahakali, Annapurna, Chandi, Hinglaj, Vidhya, Basni, Maha Laxmi, Mata saraswati, Ambika and Anji Devi which burn continuously.
It's believed that Raja Bhumi Chand Katoch of Kangra, who was a terrific devotee of Mata Durga, dreamt of the sacred place and set folks to hint its location. After discovering the location, the Raja erected the mandir at that very site. The mandir was inbuilt a contemporary design. Its auditorium is constituted of gold and the mandir possesses an exquisite folding door made out of silver plates.
