Maha Rudrabhishek is a ritual of worshiping Lord Rudra {Shiva} in his Rudra type, by which a Shivalinga is bathed in water which is repeatedly poured over it, with accompaniment of the chanting of vedic mantra known as the Rudra Suktha. It's hailed by all Vedic scriptures as one of the best Poojas. Abhisheka is the worshiping ritual of the God wherein substances like Cow's milk, Ghee (clarified butter), curds (Yogurt), honey, finely ground sugar, sugar cane juice, coconut water, water, rice and comparable items, which are believed to be dearer to Shiva are poured on the Shiva Linga.
