Mahavidya Tara Havan is the second of the Mahavidyas. Maata Tara is worshipped by Hindus, Buddhists and Jains. The Chinese Buddhists worship her as Kwan Yin. Within the Hindu custom, Mata Tara is ‘sabda shakti’ or energy of Sound. In accordance with Tibetan Buddhist custom Mata Tara emanated from the tear of Avalokiteshvara.
