Anantarya Vrat is dedicated to the Uma type of Goddess Parvati. It begins in the Margashirsh month in Hindu lunar calendar. The vrat is carried out for the welfare of children and peace in family.

Anantarya Vrat in 2015 begins on December 14. The vrat is carried out on all Tritiya or third day of a fortnight in Hindu calendar. The vrat can be performed by each men and women.
