Uchchishtha Ganapati is the eighth form of the 32 types of Lord Ganapati. Lord Ganesha is among the hottest Hindu God worshipped in India and is believed to be the remover of all obstacles in the lives of his devotees.

In this type the Lord is depicted in sitting posture with six hands and on the left thigh seated together with his Shakti Devi. On his primary right hand holds the Japa beads mala (Rudraksha), second holds pomegranate fruit and the third/ upper holds the contemporary sprig of paddy. His principal left hand maintain around his Shakti, second hand hold the Veena and third/upper hand holds blue lotus. The colour associated with this kind is blue and the tusk is not curled.

Karthika Nakshatra is associated with Uchchishtha Ganapati. It is believed that worshiping this form of Ganesha will give the devotees predominance. He blesses his devotees success and superiority in life.
