Dhanteras puja on diwali

Dhanteras or Dhantrayodashi is one of the propitious holy ceremony carried out on the 1st day out of 5 days of Diwali pujan and rituals. It is celebrated on thirteenth lunar day of Krishna Paksha in the Hindu month of kartik (October/November) also called Dhantrayodashi or Dhanvantari Triodasi.

Dhan means "prosperity" and triyodashi means thirteenth lunar day of kartik month, on this day Maata Lakshmi is worshipped together with lord (bhagawan) kuber for a contented state of being happy, gaining material prosperity and great success. This pujan allows you enhance the stream of monetary resource and the ability to gather immense prosperity. Being triyodashi of the lunar fortnight this propitious day endorsed as pradosh puja of lord (bhagawan) shiva gives double advantage in the form of blessings from lord (bhagawan) shiva as well as lord kuber and maata lakshmi. Lord (bhagawan) Shiva granted kingship of Yakshas to lord (bhagawan) kuber and made him "Lord of prosperity" (Dhanadhipati) after so long of his prayers and offerings to lord shiva .
