The 5th day of Durga name is Skanda mata. Skanda is one of the names of Subrahmanya or Lord (Bhagawan) Murugan or Kartik – the General of the Army of the Devas and one of the most attractive God. Skanda Goddess is the mother of Kartik. She is also called Padmasana. This the motherly type of Durga and she is benevolent.

Skanda Mata puja procedure: Ganpati invocation mantra, Invocation mantras of all major deities, Skanda Mata puja katha, Skanda Mata puja Aarti and havan.
