Shri Kamkhya Diksha

Kamakhya temple (mandir), devoted to Mata Sati, an incarnation (avatar) of Durga, in keeping with historic Indian scriptures (shastra). Regardless of her husband Lord Shiva's condemnation, Mata Sati had gone to attend the common 'Yajna' organised by her father Daksha. Lord Shiva was not invited and was additionally abused by Daksha. Not capable to stand the insult, Mata Sati dedicated suicide.
