About Katyayani

Mata Katyayani is worshipped on the sixth day of Navratri. Mata Katyayani rides on the superb lion and depicted with 4 hands. Mata Katyayani carries lotus flower and sword in her proper fingers and retains her left arms in Abhaya and Varada Mudras. Mata Parvati was born on the dwelling of sage Katya and resulting from which this type of Mata Parvati is named Katyayani.
